Many people have written asking that I put a picture of myself on AngelicArtistry because they want to know what I look like....well here it is.
This is me with my boss, "Phil the Pill" Kirk....no, I'm just kidding....he's a great guy, a wonderful father, a caring brother, my best friend, my hero....and I love him!
"I am twice blessed for my husband has a keen mind and a kind heart."
We have three grown children.....Jim (who recently earned his pilot's license so we have a real Captain Kirk in the family) the father of Rachel, Jesse, Jacob and Jonathan. Jim's wife, Grace, is a devoted mother, and a real 'angel' of a daughter-in-law. They are as much in love as they were the day they were married...a match made in Heaven.
Cathleen, the mother of Melissa, Shannon, Lauren and Karl Philip. I'm not saying this because she's our daughter, you would say the same thing after being around her and her children for even a short while, Cathy is the most wonderful mother I have ever seen...it is pure heaven to watch her with her children....even the way she touches them is filled with love!
If we had conducted a country-wide search to find the very best young man, we couldn't have possibly found a better man than Karl, Cathy's husband. Every time we're around him we find ourselves enjoying his charm and wit and generous, loving personality. He is truly a credit to his family and ours.
So...that makes eight grandchildren...who keep us feeling very well loved!
And then, of course, there's our baby....Lorraine Francine. I named her thusly because the two names together mean 'seeking freedom'....groan....she has been living up to her name since she was old enough to walk. Lorraine is a gifted artist and does a lot of artwork for the community....she paints the post office windows and the bank windows for the different holidays....everyone loves her characters.
When 'Rain' was just a tiny little thing and people would ask her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would answer...."a mermaid." Well she's studying now to be an aquatic mammal veterinarian...so I guess she meant it.
Lorraine is happily married to a special guy named Bob. He is charming, fun to be with and a perfect match for our daughter. He is definitely a wonderful son-in-law!
Pets....do we have pets?...between all of us and our pets...we have our own family zoo. Animals are dear to my heart and it is especially gratifying to watch our grandchildren care for and love their pets.
Let's see...what else can I tell you? .... oh, yes.....I believe in angels!
'Herself' is just an old Irish expression....am I Irish?...what do you think?
But enough about me....
