Listed below are projects with which I need help:
Now I need suggestions for what music could be played behind the following pages of the Heavenly Mall:
Colored Glass - We're looking for a MIDI of Baubles, Bangles and Bright Shiny Beads
Jewelry - We're looking for a MIDI of Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

Problem solved by Donna Stevens of Aarillo who sent us the MIDI for Charriots of Fire...Thanks again Donna!
Now I need some help with MIDIs. Behind the page for the archangel Uriel under Angels of the Zodiac I have the midi Light My Fire. That seems a bit irreverent to me. I would prefer to have something else. Whatever I use must be about 'fire' (Uriel's flaming sword). Can anybody suggest or find a midi that would be appropriate? (2-24-98)

Some time ago I remember reading about the angels of the four winds. One was Michael, one was Gabriel, one was Raphael and the other was Uriel. They each drove a chariot pulled by four horses. Here's where I'm having some difficulty....I know one of the chariots is pulled by four red horses...another by four white horses...another by four black horses...and another by four dappled gray horses. I would like to paint these angels driving a chariot but I need to be sure of who is driving which color horses. Can you help with this?

Hi Joan,
Yesterday I happened to visit your Overview web page (since a month ago),
and sighted that you were seeking information concerning the following:
ANGELS OF THE FOUR WINDS. WHO WAS DRIVING WHICH COLOR HORSE?
Over the years I have gathered a 5,000 book reference library, including
numerous Bible versions, Dead Sea Scrolls, Pseudepigrapha/apocalyptic
literature, etc. The FOUR CHARIOTS are recorded in the Bible;
Zechariah 6:1 (which I will enclose later, because you already have that
information).
I spent the morning going thorugh my library. I, too, have read material
related to the above, and now its driving me nuts because I cant put my
finger on What Book?
What I do know is that a full description is not recorded in the Bible;
however, through symbology, astrological data, perhaps you can find what you
are looing for. Sometimes the answer is right under our nose and we cant see
it because we are looking too hard.
Here is some information that may give you a clue:
Michael is seen coming from the north.
Gabriel, the west.
Raphael, the south.
Uriel, the east.
The following is translated from Ancient Hebrew and taken from a book dated
1689 and reprinted about 1925. The Complete Edition of The Books of Moses.
There are four parts of the earth which are the most subtle light of the
spiritual world: 4. Hierarchus, Cherubim et Seraphim, Potestates et Virtutes,
Archangelos et Angelos, Spiritus et Animus Hominum, which come before God.
This part of the world has also four angels that stand upon the four corners
of heaven; they are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel; four angels stand for
the elements, namely, Seraph, Cherub, Tharsis, Ariel; four highly enlightened
men full of the light of God.
The following from: The Common Bible, The New Revised Standard Version:
Zechariah 6:1. And again I looked up and saw four chariots coming out from
between two mountains -- mountains of bronze. 2. The first chariot had red
horses, the second chariot black horses,
3. The third chariot white horses, and the fourth chariot dappled gray horses.
4. Then I said to the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5. The angel answered me, These are the four winds of heaven going out, after
presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.
6. The chariot with the black horses goes toward the north country, the white
ones go toward the west country, and the dappled ones go toward the south
country.
7. When the steeds came out, they were impatient to get off and patrol the
earth. And he said, Go, patrol the earth. So they patrolled the earth.
8. Then he cried out to me, Lo, those who go toward the north country have
set my spirit at rest in the north country.
So, Joan, my conclusion is this:
The black horses go toward the north ( Michael ).
The white horses go toward the west (Gabriel).
The red horses go toward the east ( Uriel).
The dappled go toward the south ( Rpahael).
What do you think?
Here is some other information regarding the above:
Old Testament Light by George M. Lamsa :
The number four symbolizes completeness: the four corners of the earth andthe four
winds, for instance.
The mountains of brass indicate that the chariots were headed for the north
country, Greece. Brass is symbolic of the mountainous Greecian Empire. Thefour chariots
are symbolic of four kingdoms after the death of Alexander the Great -- Seleucia, Syria,
Egypt, and Greece.
The red horses are symbolic of war and bloodshed. Black means death and
mourning. Black is a colorless color; hence, llifeless. Therefore it has
been commonly used for mourning.
The white horses are symbolic of victory. Victorious kings, when entering a
city, ride on white horses. A grizzled, gray, or pale horse means famine.
The vision is similar to the vision of the four horses which Joan saw (Rev.
6:2-8).
